MA Electricals

MA Electricals is an 18th Edition qualified electrician working in private homes across London. The work runs from replacing a single light fitting or a faulty socket through to complete rewires and bespoke lighting installations.

Both ends of that range matter. Small private jobs are not filler between larger projects — they are a normal part of the work, and they are quoted, booked and finished with the same care as anything else.

How we work

There is not much mystery to good electrical work. It is done carefully, it is explained honestly, and the house is left as it was found. These are the principles the work is held to.

• Clear communication. You are told what the problem is, what the options are, and what the work involves — before it starts, in plain language.
• Respect for your home. Floors are covered, dust is controlled, and nobody treats a lived-in house like a building site.
• Careful installation. Circuits are designed for the load they carry, connections are made properly, and the work is tested.
• A tidy finish. The job is not done when it works. It is done when the plate is level, the chase is made good and the room is clean.
• Attention to the visual detail. Downlights set out to the room. Wall lights at a height that suits the wall. The details you will look at every day.

Qualification

MA Electricals is 18th Edition qualified. The 18th Edition — BS 7671 — is the current British Standard for electrical installations, and it governs how circuits are designed, protected, tested and documented. Work is carried out to that standard, on jobs of every size.
